President Alfio Albani interviewed by South-Korean TV SBS

thursday 01 december 2016

The cameras of the South-Korean national TV SBS came visiting Chiaravalle on the last November the 22nd and 23rd to shoot a documentary centered around the figure of Maria Montessori.

Obviously the camera crew couldn’t miss to shoot something out of our “Maria Montessori” comprehensive institute and Montessori’s birthplace, her apartment in Piazza Mazzini n°10.

The cameras shoot the documentary at the Children’s house (and at the primary school the following day) very carefully, focusing on the method’s work, techniques, pedagogical and educational aspects. Particularly they’ve been struck by the attention and care put into the observation of children and how meticulous is the teachers’ day to day learning process.

In that occasion Mr. Alfio Albani, FCM’s President, was interviewed. He discussed the heritage, the way of thinking and the influence the work of Maria Montessori has today in Italy and the World as well, comparing her to other great thinkers of the XXth Century.

Southern-Korea” explained the translator, Mr. Kim Chang ho “is the Nation of documentaries. We produce thousands of them every year and be sure that, after the recent booming of Montessori education (already popular in the 80s), a lot more TV-crews will come here.”

The SBS special about Maria Montessori will air on the 25th of December 2016 and will be available online at their (and our) official website in the days following its airing.
