The FCM in History with the Declaration of Chiaravalle

thursday 12 october 2017

On the date 11/10/2017 the “Declaration of Chiaravalle” was signed, an act that commits the Fondazione Chiaravalle Montessori, Marche Region, Inrca and Montessori international centre of Perugia (along with international partners Cameron Camp, Jerome Erkes and Sourour Pivion) to a project of international research and experimentation towards the application of the Montessori method and principles with elderly people with dementia. In the Raffaello hall of the Marche Region head-quarters the four (Alfio Albani for FCM, Anna Casini for Marche Region, Luciano Mazzetti for MICP and Fabrizia Lattanzio for Inrca) signed a deal that represents an absolute novelty for Italian science.

The four institute are now, by the declaration of Chiaravalle, committed to the contribution (with their scientific datas) in the creation of a model (format) of welfare for the elderly that, through the Montessori method, could valorise the residual cognitive abilities of the patients, giving them the best life quality possible.

The four declarants will institute a roundtable of constant confrontation, development and validation of the research paths based on the Montessori method. The Marche Region is eager to realize (in farms, public or private hospitals during the triennia 2018-2020) pilot projects with the target of implementing the rural longevity introduced with the law DGR 336/2016.
